Book Deliveries

Donations of books and stationary supplies from vendors, publishers and others contribute to the success of in-country training and allow TAAAC-LSP to meet the terms of the partnership agreement with our Ethiopian colleagues.

Medical Library Book Deliveries

First shipment August 2010

Sidney Liswood Library: 12 boxes = 233 books ; Books with Wings (BWW): 212 boxes = 977 books  : Total 224 boxes = 1210 books

Second shipment  January 2011

Dr. Philpott: 200 copies of 2 books = 400 books ; UT Bookstore order = 51 books ; Sidney Liswood Library sent to the Canadian Blind Mission (CBM) via Markham Stouffville Hospital= 54 books : Total 54 books

The second shipment consisted of, greatly reduced book prices offered by Wolters Kluwer and/or the University of Toronto Bookstore, medical texts for Family Medicine and new texts to establish a core collection of medical library books. Shipping costs were covered by CBM. The shipment arrived in 2011.

Third shipment January 2012  

BWW : 40 books ; Wolters Kluwer : 44 books ; SLL : 11 books

The third shipment is a compilation of book donations being shipped with functioning medical equipment identified by TAAAC clinical leaders and their counterparts in Ethiopia as necessary and desirable.  This shipment arrived in 2013.
